SAINT PETERSBURG – Nikolay Skvortsov of Russia set a world record in the men's 200 metres butterfly at the national short-course championships.
Skvortsov won in 1:50.53 seconds on Sunday in Saint Petersburg beating his own mark of 1:50.60 that he set winning gold at the European Championships in Rijeka last December.
