George Bovell and Kimberlee John-Williams were named male and female swimmers of the year for 2009 by Amateur Swimming Association of Trinidad and Tobago (ASATT).
At this year’s World Championships in Rome, Bovell, 26, was 7th in the 50 metres freestyle in 21.51, and during a swim-off set a Competition record of 21.20 seconds.
He also received this award in 2008 and 2009.
Teenager Kimberlee John-Williams set 15 new national records and qualified for the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore this year.
