Australian Lauterstein sets Commonwealth record in 100 fly

MILAN - Andrew Lauterstein set a Commonwealth and Australian record in the 100 metres butterfly at the Giorgio Armani swim meet in Milan on Thursday night.

The 22-year-old from Melbourne, won the race in 50.92 seconds, lowering the record of 52.36 set by Geoff Huegill at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002.
