Cecilia Biagioli of Argentina and Simone Ercoli of Italy won the first race of the 2010 FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix, which has been held in Rosario, Argentina, on Sunday.

Biagioli won the women's 15k contest in 2h01:46, ahead of fellow-countrywoman Antonella Bogarin (2h01:59) and Esther Nunez Morera of Spain (2h02:13).

Ercoli crossed the finish line in 1h55:04.30, closely followed by Alexander Studzinski of Germany timed 1h55:04.60.

Third place went to Frenchman Bertrand Venturi in 1h55:34. the next race of the 2010 tournament will be held in Santa Fe, Argentina, on Sunday.
