Next month’s duel in the pool among European swimming powers, Germany and Great Britain will be the first confront since the 1960s.

Topping the bill are Olympic medallist David Davies and world record breakers in 2009 Liam Tancock and Joanne Jackson.

There is as yet no official confirmation that Germany will send its strongest team, while the most notable absent is two-times World champion Britta Steffen, who skip this year’s winter season.

The meeting will be held in Swansea on February 20-21, although there is no confirmation if it will be held on a short- or long-course.
