Swimming Belgium will send just four athletes to the European short-course Championships in Istanbul, from December 10 to 13, following the national championships in Wachtebeke, this past weekend.

Team roster: Kimberly Buys, Bruno Claeys, Dieter Dekoninck, Annelies de Maré.

Moreover, seven new national records were set during the 2-day championships.

MEN

• Yoris Grandjean: 100 Free 48.03
• Glenn Surgeloose: 100 IM 54.04
• Stef Verachten: 200 IM 2:01.40

WOMEN

• Kimberly Buys: 200 Free 1:57.39, 200 Back 2:06.58, 100 IM 1:00.89
• Fanny Lecluyse: 400 IM 4:40.89

All swimmers didn’t wear polyurethane or polyurethane-coated swimsuits, according to Federation directive.
