American Jessica Hardy set the new women’s 50 metres breaststroke world record winning in 29.36.
The 22-year-old from Long Beach, lowered her own mark by 0.09sec. that she set in Durban last month.

Russia's Evgeny Korotyshkin set the second record of the day winning the 100 metres butterfly in 48.99 seconds, becoming the first men to go under the 49-second berrier.
The former record for this event was set by Ian Crocker in 2004 while the European record was set by Milorad Cavic winning gold in 49.19 at last Europeans in Rijeka.

South Africa's George Du Rand set the last record of the day in the men’s 200 metres backstroke, touching in 1:47.08.
The previous record of 1:47.84 was held by Austrian Markus Rogan since last year’s Worlds in Manchester.

Finally, Russia’s Sergey Fesikov set the men’s 100 metres individual medley record.
Fesikov, 20, touched in 51.45 seconds improving the previous mark of 51.97 set by Peter Mankoc last year in Rijeka.
