DURBAN - American Jessica Hardy and Peter Marshall set a world record at the FINA world cup in Durban Saturday.
The 22-year-old Hardy, set a world record of 29.45secs in the women’s 50 metres breaststroke and broke her own previous mark of 29.58 that she has set at the 2008 World Champs.

Later, fellow fellow-countryman Peter Marshall, 27, recaptured the men’s 50 backstroke mark winning in a time of 22.75.
The previoius standard was set by compatriot Randall Bal's in 22.87, at the 2008 Berlin stop of the tournament.
