With SwimNews. Two Asian records were broken at the Chinese Nationals at the Water Cube swimmnig complex last week.

Shi Rundong, from Guangdong, set a new Asian mark of 21.95 seconds for the men’s 50m freestyle on August 28.

He improved his own best of 22.13, set in June.

Ji Liping broke the Asian 100m breaststroke record.

She won in 1:05.32, lowering the record of 1:06.64 that was set by Luo Xuejuan on her way to the 2004 Olympic title in Athens.
