Fabio Scozzoli of Italy broke Fioravanti’s 9-year-old Italian record in the men’s 100m breaststroke at the World Universitary Games in Belgrade

BELGRADE – Fabio Scozzoli of Italy broke Fioravanti’s 9-year-old Italian record in the men’s 100m breaststroke at the World Universitary Games in Belgrade.

Scozzoli, 21, touched in 1:00.14 seconds in the semi-finals on Sunday, breaking the oldest Italian record in swimming of 1:00.46 set by Domenico Fioravanti in Sydney, winning gold on September 17, 2000.
