Pellegrini breaks world record in women's 400 free

PESCARA - Federica Pellegrini of Italy has set a world record in the 400 metres freestyle at the Mediterranean Games on Saturday.

She won the final Saturday night in 4:00.41 seconds, lowering the old mark of 4:00.66 set by Joanne Jackson of Great Britain in March.
