Mirna Jukic of Austria set the new European record of 2:22.91 seconds in winning the women's 200 metres breaststroke Saturday at the national championships in Vienna

VIENNA – Mirna Jukic of Austria set the new European record of 2:22.91 seconds in winning the women's 200 metres breaststroke Saturday at the national championships in Vienna.

Jukic, 23, broke the previous mark of 2:23:02 set by Sara Nordenstam of Norway at last year’s Beijing Olympic Games.
