RIJEKA – Hugues Duboscq of France broke the European record in the 200 metres breaststroke, winning gold in 2:04.59 seconds at the European swimming championships.
Duboscq took 43-hundredths of the previous record set by Itlay’s Giorgetti (today second in 2:04.98) at the Italian Nationals in Genoa two weeks ago.
