Fina World Cup, two more WR Marshall and Alshammar

STOCKHOLM - Peter Marshall and Therese Alshammar sets two world short-course records at the Swedish round of the Fina World Cup.

Marshall, broke the 50 metres backstroke record when he clocked 23.05 seconds to win the event.

The American broke the previous record of 23.24, which was set by Robert Hurley at the Sydney round of the cup on October 28.

Sweden's Therese Alshammar, won the 50 metres butterfly with a time of 25.31; the previous best time belonged to American Felicity Galvez since she won gold in 25.32 at the World championships in Manchester last April.

Alshammar also bettered the European record of 25.33 set by compatriot Anna Karin Kammerling in Göteborg on March 12, 2005.
