South Africa’s Cameron van der Burgh has broken the short course 50 metres breaststroke world record, setting a time of 26.08s at a World Cup meet in Moscow

MOSCOW – South Africa’s Cameron van der Burgh has broken the short course 50 metres breaststroke world record, setting a time of 26.08s at a World Cup meet in Moscow on Saturday.

Van der Burgh shaved 0.09 seconds off the previous mark set by Ukraine’s Oleg Lisogor in Berlin in 2006.
