Cseh smashes world mark in 200 individual medley

DEBRECEN – Laszlo Cseh has broken the men's 200 metres individual medley world record to in gold at the European championships in Debrecen.

The Hungarian touched in 1:52.99 seconds to break the record of 1:53.14sec set by Thiago Pereira of Brazil this in November at the Fina World Cup in Berlin.

The former European mark was 1:53.46 which Cseh clocked at the 2005 European championships in Trieste, on December 8.
